Common plant of the meadows from 0,10 to 0,30 m of which one uses roots leaves and flowers.

Cowslip is calming and antispasmodic. Out of infusion against rheumatisms and migraine, in compress on ecchymosis or swellings.
Also : Bronchitis, whooping-cough, cough, cephalgias, colds, insomnia, colics, indigestion.
In external use : Contusions.



In infusion one spoonful for one cup of boiling water, let infuse 10 minutes ; one cup after each meal.

Oil; let macerate during 6 weeks 1 handful of crushed flowers and roots in 1 liter of olive oil; to anoint the ecchymosis.

Expectorant decoction; 20 g of roots for 1 liter of water, boil during 10 minutes; 3 cup a day.
