Common hardy perennial from 0,80 to 1 meter of which one uses the rhizome.

Valerian is a remarkable nervousness balancing. Out of herb tea against anxiety, stress, insomnia, cardiac palpitations, curvature, epilepsy and asthma.
Also in external use : Ulcers, wounds, contusions.

8-day treatment: macerate 15 g of fresh root in a cup of cold water for 1 night: drink in the morning.

Put 100 g of valerian roots in one liter of tepid water, let stand 12 hours; 3 cups a day.

Powder; 1g of roots mixed with honey; 3 times a day.

Tincture; let macerate during 8 days 10g of dried roots in 50g of alcohol 60%, filter; take 1 small glass at bedtime.
