Toxic in case of overdose
Hardy perennial from southern Europe, growing on the limestones grounds from 0,30 to 0,70 m of which one uses leaves and rootstocks. In Europe bithwort (Aristolochia clematitis) has the reputation to facilitate childbirth and regularize menstruations. Also: arthritis, rheumatisms. Infusion : 15 g per liter of water ; 3 cups a day.
